Looking for feedback, want to get an OEM Grady logo on my 228G. It has been naked too long!
I really have become used to no pinstripes, so I likely will just stick with the raised logo and that's it.

There are 2 different sizes dependng on the size of the hull.

1) 39.5" x 2.5"

2) 47.25 x 3.25"

Which size do you thing would look best?

Thanks!

Hey thanks Ky!

That is plenty big on your hull, and the part number from Taylor Marine on eBay matches up with yours.

My wallet is ready to make this happen o_O

Call your dealer. The one's on Ebay are too expensive. I got new stripes, 228 callouts and new logos for a little over $400 from my dealer in Charleston.

Thanks for the tip, I would have assumed the opposite.

Let me know what you find out. I can put you in touch with my dealer if yours quotes to high. Best I remember, around $450 or so for all of it.

On second thought, I do like your stripes. Not too overpowering.

Thanks Ky, will let you know~

Wow I really like the look, would like to pull off the old stripes on my 1999 Seafarer and replace with these stripes. Any advice to get those old stripes off would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Heat gun or eraser wheel and 3M adhesive remover or Goo-Gone. You'll probably have some ghosting from old cabin side flags. Wet sanding and/or time will fade the ghosting.

Here's the old, original 2004 look and the new 2021 look.

Awesome thanks for the information, I’m definately going to pull the stripes this winter, they are in rough shape as I think the previous owner pulled crabs pots over the gunwales.

Don,

I used the 3m eraser wheel and my stripes and logo came off super easy.

You can get it too hot putting too much pressure on it trying to remove the stripes too fast. I burnt my old blue stripes into my rear starboard side when I first took off. Light pressure is your friend, it will remove the stripes fine.

I just received my new Grady White emblems Friday. They are 38 inches long and look like a two man job to get lined up and square before applying them. You only get one shot at it. I was going to use painters tape to mark exactly where the old ones were applied before taking them off and trying my luck at installing them. Sound like a good idea? Open to any and all suggestions from you guys that have done it already. KY yours looks great.
