I removed the old corroded faucet, sprayer and Shower with new Ambassador fixtures from Defender. Super easy direct replacement. Looks like a new boat!55E7649C-C52B-407D-8568-C19179B6DABF.jpegE5BEF04A-2C71-40E3-B429-AF29DDAB8F03.jpeg024B2170-8C87-4EA1-8F68-BA951360D3C4.jpeg

those are pretty easy to install and they are a direct replacement. the cost is the only draw back.

Nice to know. I may change the galley out again, to a single handle like that. I just hate the thought of shimmying into that cabinet again!

I got an email yesterday from Defender. They canceled their big warehouse sale due to Corona virus. They are doing an online sale instead on everything. Good deals usually.

Looks great and thanks for the info, I'll be starting a restoration of sorts on our Marlin soon and will be needing to do our faucets too!

Thanks for the tip. Will be watching for the sale. I wonder if the sprayer is better than the stock one. I seem to have issues and replace every 5 years or so.

The new Ambassador sprayer is chrome brass. The original was plastic. I had to cut a 4" round inspection plate to make the change. I took out the deck light and looked in the hole so I could see where to run the hole saw.

Damn, you just helped me spend a bunch of money. I'm getting tired of looking at those old, original and pitted fixtures. Going to look tomorrow for replacements and a good deal.

Why and where did you have to cut the hole? Does the Ambassador have a different hose/connector? I've replaced my original twice now just screwing on to the original hose (but it's the wrong height and won't fit into the socket if the lid is closed.

Everything mated easily. All 1/2”NPT . You can see the inspection plate here in this photo. FB3FA241-8508-45E3-A7E6-0CEAE1CBDD1B.jpeg

Just changed mine in the galley and head, will do the one out in the cockpit next. I found that Grady uses Scandvik on the new boats and thats what I went with.

Scandvik is good stuff too. Ambassador has 5 year warranty including chrome finish And all the valves are 1/3 turn ceramic. Scandvik is 1 year And some are multi turn buna rubber valves.

Here’s a better picture of the hole I cut to change the sprayer.DD89FD70-A21F-41FE-B3ED-9EB7AAA9DB04.jpegDD89FD70-A21F-41FE-B3ED-9EB7AAA9DB04.jpeg
