Hello Forum Members!

I just found the site. I've been dreaming of a Grady for a long time. Hopefully some day in my future I'll have one. I'm currently fascinated by the 232 Gulfstream. If/when I get one I'll be using it in the Great Lakes for fishing mainly. Eventually I'd like to overnight with my wife/family as well. I'd like to remain trailerable if possible when I do end up with one. Looks like a great site. I'm still looking and dreaming.

I'm sure there are threads out there about bringing a boat that was used in salt water to the fresh water. That's one of my biggest concerns since there aren't too many used GW's around SE Michigan.

Keep up the good work!

Welcome to the forum!
Lots of great info to be had here.
Check with Beaver Park Marina in Loraine Ohio for a freshwater GW.

Call Twin Cities Marine in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. They are my choice for sales and service. I bought my Gulfstream there and they are the best.
When you get ready, they can get you info on every aspect of the buying process.

You might have to travel a little bit. Both my 226 and 205 were sold to Great Lakes boaters (the 226 to a guy outside Detroit; the 205 to suburban Cleveland.) Both the buyers indicated that they couldn't find used GW's in their area, and both made a 10 hour drive down I-75 to Atlanta.

Good luck in your search.

Well hopefully it's sooner than later. Might be a boat in between a GW and me. Right now I'm in halves with my brother-in-law on a small 16' aluminum fishing boat that we've done well on. We've even been out on LM and LE in it. We've been on LE quite a bit. Granted all of these experiences were very weather dependent. We had a long trip back into Erieau on our last trip over. We were about 6 miles out and the wind/waves had grew on up. We were coming back to the dock in solid 4's. That's way to big for that boat. It was a wet ride at about 12 mph. We buzzed out to the location at over 30 mph...Bilge ran alot on the way back in. I'd probably let my BIL buy me out of our boat and he could keep that for smaller lakes and then I'd have a bigger boat for bigger water.

Thanks again for including me in your community, even if vicariously.
