Hello all,
The tach on my seafarer has stopped working. When I purchased the boat the guy looking at the boat before me had the cover off the motor and was poking around and moving wires, I don't know why but perhaps looking for dried out toast wires.
Shortly after the tach stopped working. I know the guy who I purchased the boat from and have no reason to doubt the story. I don't mind buying a new tach BUT, if all there is is a loose wire then the new tach won't do a thing.
So, I am looking for a diagram or someone with the same motor and/or knowledge that can point me in the right direction as far as where to start looking. Any ideas would be truly appreciated. Unfortunately I trailer the boat to the water and marine mechanics in my area are no where to be found (at least on the web or white pages)
1993 Evinrude Ocean Pro 225 carbed. (New stators where done about 3 months before the tach stopped working)
