just couldn't stand it any more. a sick mother-in-law, a stressed out wife, kids starting school, short staffed at work, reels piling up. what's the answer? right! go fishing!

i launched my boat out of half moon bay and took a 2 hour and 25 kt run to a seamount called the guide. we stuck a dozen albacore and called it a day. nice to get out on the water again. this was my first tuna ever on the new boat. it ran perfectly, right down to the new flir thermal imaging camera.

Nice job Alan! Any bait fish or all troll? Looks like you had some great weather too.

Good job Alan! I was down at Star marine the other day and those Flir cameras caught my eye......a little pricey for me but they are awsome!

mostly troll fish, only a couple on bait.

regarding the flir, go back and take a second look. they are absolutely incredible. you're making 20-25 knots at 4am and it feels like daytime. alan

$8k for the camera, $1.5k for the all-in-1 drop down dvd monitor, $1K for installation of this and some other gadgets.
