Does anyone have any photos below the floor on an 83/84 offshore 24. I want to cut an access hatch in, but I know there is a bracing down the center on both sides. Just wonder which side of that beam /brace would be the best for future access if I ever need to get in there.

Get into where to access what? Much of the deck area is gas tank There isn't a lot of 'bilge' depth off the center line . There are some spots you just can't easily get to.

I've got both center covers off. The main and auxiliary tanks are visible. I'm referring to the left and right of the primary tank. Basically, between the tank and the gunwale.

I have some pics I can share, but it would help to know exactly where you are talking about and/or what you're trying to access. There is no storage space available, if that's what you're after.

I'm curious as to what kinda of framing is below the floor between the tank and gunwale.

As Dennis mentioned, there isn't a lot of space, specifically depth. In addition, the space is most likely filled with foam. You may be able to get a look using a borescope tool, a small camera on a flexible shaft. Some of those things are pretty inexpensive and come in different lengths of cable. I use one that 'talks' to my phone or tablet to use the screen as it's display. I got a model with 30 feet of fiber optic cable but I find that to be a bit unwieldy for the things I need to look at. A model with a shorted cable would suit most needs better.
Of course if the area you want to see is foamed, you won't see a lot except for foam.

I ordered a new borescope today. I will check it out later this week.
