What are you doing about your radio box?
I guess before Grady refined it into what it looks like on new models, this is how it all started. Anyone do any modifications to make this look a little more modern and get a better watertight seal.?
Not much room to work with the way the hinges are setup. :( and the acrylic door never really did have a good seal, just some weatherstripping glued on. Now the door is starting to bow out at the ends making water intrusion that much easier.
Wondering if any has done any upgrades in this area.

I have a 1996, and have not done much to improve the looks, but pretty sure the glove box is/was the source of water leaking into cabin for me. I noticed I had an area that did not seem sealed well on the bottom of the box (hard to see but can feel with your fingers). Of try grab bottom of box, I taped off and opened instrument panel as that is where the water should drain to - used some tape and poured about 4 ounces of resin to make sure water drained from box well into the instrument panel box. I currently just have my vhf in there and use for storage (wallet keys). I really want to get a 7" screen in there but not sure if it will even fit, and then maybe a little cubby on the side if room for keys and wallet.

I just posted something similar to this on water instrusion and seals (I just use a crap ton of them and seems to be working, also have the bowing issue).

I liked the Garmin 94SV so I made it fit. I used the original glove box door as a sunshield. I mounted the vhf in the cabin.

Interesting.
I see you flipped the acrylic door over. :)
