Looking for opinions on weather an open array radar on a 6" mount, would be any better than just mounting it on the hardtop. It's going on a 326 Canyon.

A I have a Canyon 326 with Garmin Fantom 54 - 4’ radar and I love it. The pedestal assembly elevates the spinning, 4 foot open array almost a foot above the hardtop. I really don’t think you need elevate the pedestal anymore.

I will definitely help performance. If you are trailering though you need to watch the 13' 6" over the road height.

Mixed emotions here. Does your mechanic have a height limit on the bay door for storage, maintenance or other indoor required activities - think lifecycle of the boat? You don't want to box yourself in with a height issue.
