Hello All, new to this forum and did a bit of searching but didn't see any related comparisons so thought I'd ask.

I'm between a 255 and a 235. I like the layout of both but the 235 has a few things that just seem right to me. Question is, do they really matter vs the extra length of the 255? Here's my observations and what I like on the 235:

- I like the layout of the console on the 235 with the switches moved down low and the electronics up top.
- The swim platform with the wider ladder angled out looks great for boat access by skiers/boarders/tubers.
- Wider transom seat
- center seat area in the bow on the 235 vs needing to add a pad/platform for the 255

All these are "nice to have" but for me ride is first and foremost a priority. I boat in Buzzards Bay/Vineyard Sound and it can turn from calm to rough on a dime. I haven't water tested these boats and am looking for input from people with experience with these boats on the water. All input welcome and appreciated.

Thank you.

The 235 is a new model and has the latest GW innovations. I saw hull #1 and it is very nice.
The 255 weighs about 500# more which will likely give it a slight edge in ride.

Close call. I would get on both and rate feature, ride, price. Hard to go wrong!

Thanks, I plan to get on both. Problem is it's not exactly boating weather here in the NE so getting on each in the water at this time isn't possible but it might come down to delaying the purchase till I can water test both. Purchase is contingent on water test regardless as I couldn't do one like this without first test driving. Would you buy a car without test driving it? I wouldn't.

Other than temps, why not test both now unless the dealers are closed ? All boats ride great in flat conditions. Why not test both in a bit rougher water because after all that's what counts right? Take advantage of the slow time and not perfect water conditions to get a better feel for the ride? I would if I were in your shoes.
