Also Bob, if your engine has the hose connection on the cowl for static flushing, you can put a "Y" on your garden hose and put water to that fitting at the same time you put water to the muffs and it will usually make the engine pee while running. On my old engine it would not pee on the muffs till I did that. Once it started peeing with both hoses running, I could shut off the upper cowl fitting hose and it would continue peeing. I was clued into doing that by a local Merc/Suzuki mechanic.
