Just thought I would let any interested parties know that last week I change the tilt steering unit on my Grady 258 voyager. At first I had a heck of a time ID-ing the unit. They make a sport and classic model. Anyhow to cut it short, it was an easy job and this place Boat steer in North Venice Fl. really helped out. I sent them pics of the unit they IDed it and I got the unit for 244.00 best price I could find even beat Amazon. I dont work for these guys but if you got steering issues I would and will call them. New unit has tapered bearings way better than OE.

Yes Don it is through sea star heres what they sent me. I was real happy getting that play out of the wheel bugged me everytime I got on the boat.

Thanks for your pictures. It looks like you do in fact have an HH5741, which is a classic tilt helm. We have the classic tilt mechanisms in stock, which come new through SeaStar, and they are $244.00 each.
