Power Trim Fluid

Is the power trim/tilt fluid that Yamaha manufactures the same as ordinary power steering or automatic transmission fluid? Other than being twice as expensive, is there any difference? Let me know what you use to top off the reservoir

I just refilled mine.....used Dexron III ATF

Sluggoe, I have a 2002 Yamaha F-225 annd on my trim unit, there is a fill hole on port side cyclinder that hold the trim rod. It looks like a hex bolt about 1/2 way up the cylinder.

My 150 SWS has a screw / bolt here on the starboard side of the trim system...you can't miss it.
