Hi I picked up a used 200 etec for my 1996 seafarer last year. Notch transom. Love the motor so far. Has a 3 blade 14 3/4 17 pitch stainless prop. Speed good 38mph but wot around 5200 rpm think should be more like 5800. The prop was not originally on motor and guy bought motor from threw it on he had as extra. What size prop and pitch would be recommend? Thanks.

Call/email Ken at PropGods. He can give you some alternatives. Mercury Enertia? 14.7x16? Expensive.

x2 on Ken. that being said, it sounds like keeping all other parameters the same and going to a 15" should get you where you want to be rpm wise

Might want to think about 4-blade, I have a similar setup and it seems to produce good handling and stern lift. 38 with a 200 seems pretty solid, I'll maybe get to 40 with my 200HO.

Unfortunately not sure on my prop specs.
