So, spoke with the wife. The plan, so far, is we will keep this boat till hell freezes over, I get approval to get a 33 (lol!...okay, I just added that), I can no longer run it, or it blows up...
now, if I go buy a 33 right now, it will also blow up...lol
so, I will keep it going, do any and all maintenance it needs to be tip top, and make sure to baby it to keep it as good as possible for the next 6-9 months.
Sometime in the next 6-9 months, I will have a professional inspection. No matter what they find, we will keep it going as long as we can. God willing, we will pay off the truck or something else and then re-power when the first engine shows any sign of issues. It will cost as much as a new truck, and we will never get our money out of it, but I am not in the boat selling business, I am in the boat enjoying business heh.
So, cross your fingers these engines can last a bit. I do not mind if I have to spend a few thousand, but if I have to spend 10, I am re-powering.
so, may do the exhaust next year if need be, but if they wear the heck out before, I only need 6-9 months to prep for it to save myself a heart attack and marriage lol
