Yes it does. Pretty freaky when my phone rings, you can hear it all over the boat. Don't have a microphone hooked up or I guess you could talk through it also.

Phase 1 complete!! Very happy with upgrade. At least they can keep up with the rear speakers. Great volume and low end response. Good match to the rear Poly-Planar's. All sound good with just the radio pushing it, didn't want to add an amp.

If you need Bluetooth use an adapter like this fusion. And if like me you don’t have rca hookups use an fm modulator that you plug the Bluetooth adapter rca into.

Unfortunately, my projects aren't so interesting as my boat is 500 miles away from me. So I've been relegated to projects around the house...

KY, just a quick note... "technically" the location of your battery is against the USCG regs since it's below a fuel fitting. I know you probably don't really have space to move things, but maybe some type of plastic diverter setup under the filter, fittings and sensor... I'd have to think more about a logical solution, but just throwing that out there as "food for thought".

On a more interesting note, an easy upgrade is to install a vacuum gauge on the unused "output" of the filter head. Given the location, you may have to use some fittings to get the gauge to readable position. But it can easily tell you if there's a restriction somewhere between it and the tank/vent. You can also use it to monitor the condition of the filter. Truthfully, the only reason we change the filter every year is because we don't know it's condition. Yeah, it's not expensive so no big deal, but it's also wasteful. Besides, every dollar counts, right? I haven't changed my filter in 4 years. As long as the gauge keeps showing the same thing, there's really no reason to change the filter.

Ideally, you'd get a gauge with, say, only a 15psi dial (or even a bit less, still) - but this is the one I used:

Yeah, I know technically it's not correct, but if I didn't blow myself up with all the leaking fuel tanks over the last few years, I'll take my chances on a very securely installed fuel/water separator and new hoses.

That's funny I had the same thing when I put my Kenwood in last summer and all of a sudden my phone was ringing on my speakers

Yup - I don't disagree with you. I was really just mentioning it as a "cover all your bases" kind of thing. However, if I recall correctly, the USCG concern about leaking fuel onto a battery is actually about the battery case, itself, and over time the fuel deteriorating the case. But that always made me question if that rule wasn't something that was developed many years ago, when battery cases were made out of different materials... and the rule just never got changed - or they just left it there to CYA. Afterall, battery cases are made out of the same polypropylene material that plastic gas tanks are made out.......
