I took some photos of my bilge to have on hand for future questions I may have. I noticed a quick connect on my fuel filter. Anyone else have a quick connect on the fuel filter, on the inlet side. Maybe the prior owner used a fuel bladder?

Any ideas on why that is present?

Given that it's on the inlet side, my guess is its been used to winterize or decarbon the motor. Makes it easy to hook up a portable 3 or 6 gallon tank with the "cocktail" of fuel and Seafoam.

That makes sense. Good idea for doing shock treatments.

Would a fuel blivet also use such a quick disconnect? I know the prior owner ran it way offshore, over 100 miles.
