Recently I was inspecting the bow access plates and found sitting water on the foam again. It collects in these little pockets and is about an inch or so deep.
I found a drip from the fresh water fill and the plastic tube is wet. Reaching up inside I could feel it was all wet and I saw drips. I’m pretty sure that is the culprit.
I soak up all the water with a couple old t shirts.
Is it a challenge to take off the fresh water fill access and re-caulk it?
This water puddling is driving me nuts.
as for the access plate between the helm and leaning post…it’s sealed pretty good. The access plate behind the live well also seams to be sealed relatively well.
The motor well access plates definitely let water into the bilge. When I get a couple people in the stern and water is in the motor well I can hit the bilge switch and it starts pumping…annoying.
