Planning to re-upholster my interior cushions. Any idea of how many yards of fabric I will need? Have a 1989 Sailfish.

Go to SailRite's fabric calculator. They also have a good selection of fabric. Typically the underside of v-berth's use a vented mesh fabric. Also allow for making the roping but it can sometimes be made with scraps. Fabric is typically 58" to 60" wide. When you buy a yard you get 36" long by the width. You are going to need at least the length of the cushions so you will have to start with 4 yards to get two cushion tops (reverse one). Add lengths for sides. Patterned fabric that need to match edges wastes lots of fabric. I kept mine simple.

I did my Islander a few years back with this fabric. Medium weight and soft hand.

Don't forget the back rests!

most fabric is 54" wide. Fabric Warehouse and Amazon are good sites for material. I did mine over.
