I have a 1996 Islander 268. I want to rebed the bow railing mounts. I can't see how to get access to the nuts underneath the aft 3 mounts on both sides. Has anyone ever done this?

Prob not going to be able to do it without cutting a hole. The mounts were likely installed prior to the deck being mated with the hull. There is a lot of work done under the liner before it is attached. GW offers some access but likely not adequate. See the pics of the factory tour on the GW website.

Are your mounting flanges loose or leaking. Mine were leaking and I would always have wet carpet and contents in the bow. Cauked the flanges best I could. Better but not 100%.

Without access to remove existing nuts, you can drill out the screws and then use SS toggle nuts
Its a PIA but it works. I've done it on a pedestal seat.

Hard to say without having that model, but the general premise is that if you can't feel them through the headliner and you know that where they physically are that you can't get to them... there is no magically answer. As noted above, cut access holes and replace with deck plates. Cutting holes in boats is a pretty normal thing to do.
