Tank cover solid bulkhead below cut out and replaced.

Are those blocks of wood, or did something else make the small imprint? I know the hatches are cored with wood blocks, but I thought the deck would be plywood.

Core is balsa squares what you see is the imprint on the bottom skin all the balsa is gone.

Some Grady's did use squares of marine plywood (about 8" square).

The imprints are 4x4 squares of Balsa.
