Hi,

Im looking into renting a trailer to bring my 268 Islander from LBI, NJ to my home in Flemington.

I am re-powering this winter and it would be so much more convenient to do it at home vs down the beach.

Any ideas or anyone local willing to rent? (Hauler is really expensive!!)

Just a thought, but it might be less money, and more convenient, to buy a used trailer to bring her home to repower. When you're ready, take her back to where she'll be slipped, and sell the trailer, probably for close to what you paid.

have you trailered a boat that big before? do you have an adequate tow vehicle? if either is answered "no", it might cost you a whole lot more to diy.

i'm a little surprised that a haul from lbi to flemington is going to be that expensive, especially since a trailer for that size boat is not going to be cheap.

you might want to investigate more haulers. ron
