The plastic lockers/cabinets on our 2000 Gulfstream 232 are failing due to age and sun. I can't find a good source for replacements any recommendations? Who does Grady get them from?
Thanks,

GW used a PVC plastic drawer system on my boat. It was a clever system. I used it on another boat I had as well. Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere.

You would buy a length of drawer material about 6' long and cut to length for drawer sides. There was a tool to cut oval notches in the ends of the drawer sides. There is a snap in corner piece to join the sides. A cut to size sheet of PVC was the drawer bottom. The side have a slot for the drawer bottom and s larger slot to the drawer rails. You can use clear PVC pipe cement to glue everything together if you want to. The stuff is so versatile I’m sure it’s still available.

My cabinet is made of melamine covered wood. The box is screwed in thru the fiberglass and a frame/door is screwed in from the outside. My frames are in bad shape too. I'll probably get Offshore Eddy to make replacement frames out of Starboard. Replace the doors too.

Thanks Hookup1, ya finding pre made units that fit is proving challenging. I may have to get creative and rebuild the existing trim kits.

November 2021 I had two new cabinets (to replace the wooden tackle draw cabinets under the seats) made up for me in Seafoam-colored Starboard by Fin Addict Marine in N.C. (referred to me by Grady White)

Not cheap, but excellent workmanship and quality!

Contact:
Cody McLean <cmclean@finaddictmarine.com>
Cody probably still has the drawings and specs from my job on file....not sure if the Gulfstream has the same sized opening below the seat, but it looks similar based on your pix.

Thanks Finest Kind, these are the closest yet to our units. I'll follow up.

Try Ocean Breeze Marine Accessories out of Florida. 352-606-8999 or oceanbreezeMarieaccessories.com as they did great job on my rear transom hatch doors. I have more to don on my 232 and they will be my first call - great prices to go along with the workmanship.

Thx PFU. At first glance it looks like they can do the job. And then I need to get them into Canada - that’s even harder!

Maybe go to a local cabinet maker and see if they would be willing to help you. Starboard is easy to work with and should be no problem with standard woodworking tools.
