Replacing Canvas Strataglass

I am replacing my Stratglass on my 2005 Gulfstream. I wanted to use the clear Strataglass straps as in the original, using the toggles that allow the straps to rotate 90 degrees and tuck away nicely above the glass and don’t hang down in the way. The place I used instead used fabric straps with snaps that do not tuck away and told me this kind of hardware was unavailable.
I have looked online and see an example of what is available and attached to this a picture of one example. I do not know if this allows the rotation of the strap to store neatly when the canvas is down. Does anyone know if the original hardware type is available that allows the straps to rotate 90 degrees and attach to the toggle so they store away neatly.

Yes those would work fine. A&J Canvas in NC, the OEM folks for GW use a padded sunbrella strap that stows away neatly and has special padding to prevent any scraping of the strataglas. Leaving them hanging will wear marks in your strataglas. I think using strataglas straps would cause scratching as it would leave strataglas against strataglas.

Thanks for the suggestion Bill. The original straps were clear and I assumed made of the same material as the glass. Not sure if this hardware allows the straps to rotate 90 degrees to then attach to another toggle so they are neatly out of the way when not in use, which is what I am looking for.

Those are the same fasteners I have on my boat. I am attaching pictures of my set up. I think they just do not clamp them as tight and it allows the strap to swivel and connect to the secondary stowing attachment.

The part that allows the strap to swivel is different from what is shown above, unless it is a separate part that is back-to-back with the turn lock. The turn lock above just has 2 prongs, which fold flat under the cinch plate. The inside has to have some sort of male part, which has a loosely fastened washer to allow the strap to turn.
I know that you can get turn locks with screws on the back, and probably a small stud as well.

The parts in my pic above do swivel 360 degrees. They have no prongs thru the canvas. I think you are looking for SailRite item 104803 and 104804 which is a rivet type connection like mine or you can ask A&J where they get their part.

That will work, as long as you place them where you are not going thru too many layers of fabric and window material, since the barrell is less than 1/4 inch, and they have to be crimped loosely to allow turning.
