I have a 1986 sailfish with a soft deck over the main fuel tank does any one have experiance repairing this hatch cover or is a new one availble and resonable?
I was hoping to find a piece of rotten plywood that I planned to remove and epoxie in a new one against the fiber glass. Am I on the right track? thanks

I had mine done by a fiberglass guy (2000 Grady 272) last Summer. Cost me a few hundred dollars and the guy took all the wood out and replaced with an epoxy. Stronger then ever and was light! Located in Ocean City MD.

I redid mine on a 22' Seafarer last year. Original wood was individual squares cover with a layer of glass cloth. I scraped all wood off, rough sanded, then epoxied two layers of marine plywood cut to size, and epoxy coated layer of fiberglass cloth. here's a pic of them removed last week for other work.
