Hey hope all is well with everyone.

I took out 2 of my hour meters on my Grady. I have yet to replace them..

Stupid question???

Does the boat register on the new meters the true hours or its set at zero now???

Also, anyone know where I can get those actual meters..

Oddly enough my boat has Honda meters- it was a used boat so I don’t know why

Thanks all

are they simple mechanical dials or digital (LED)? Mechanical dials will start at 0. New digital might let you enter a start from.
From your question I am going to assume your motors are old and do not output a true running hours time from the computer.
you didn't say what motors you have. If you have Yamahas with digital gauges, they can display hours and you don't need the separate hour meters

Hmmmmm? Don't know why your Tachs would not display hours below the RPM. Don't know why the previous owner would disable that and put in Honda hour meters.

I have 2000 ox66s and I have hours on the Yamaha Tach display.

Maybe someone else can enlighten us both.

My '99 Sailfish does not have an hour meter at all which was typical it seems of boats in this era and before. At some point a new Yamaha gauge was put in and it shows 200ish hours now, but I know that is just since the new gauge. I would guess the original owner wanted a hour meter and they were added after, and a gauge with a Honda label on it was what was on hand/available.

Just a guess though

I appreciate your response.

Since we have same year and engines, how do your motors hold up these days? Been a shitty 2 years for me, hopefully this year turns around...

As for the gauge, guess im going to have to find one
