I have to replace my forward bilge pump on my 03 Gulfstream. The outlet nipple broke off. The pump is attached to a base that is screwed in place. I can't find a replacement pump with a locking base. It seems they just sit in the bilge or are mounted to a vertical mount which is not practical in this case. Anyone out there the same problem and found a solution? Thank you.

What is your existing pump? Most likely Rule. Easiest solution is to replace with the same thing, and snap a new pump into the base that is screwed to the hull. Never heard of a bilge pump just sitting there.

The existing pump is an Atwood. I gave them the model number (which is discontinued) and the replacement number they gave me does not have a snap in base.
I'm going to call them again today. Thanks.

Actually I just figured it out. Looking at the pictures of the Atwood pump, the base/screen has screw holes so you can screw the base in place. The motor/housing then snaps off. Simple solution, guess I was trying to overthink it.
