I have removed all my seats and bolsters for my 2008 22.5 ft Grady White Seafarer. The bolsters are 72 inches long (6 ft) and I cannot find any replacements available online. The only ones I see are 36 inch and 48 inch. Does anyone know if these are available or do I need to have them custom made. Also looking for the two back aft seats (Tops only). Cannot find those anywhere. All suggestions will be appreciated? Thanks, Dave Almeda

Of course 2 three foot bolsters would make a 6 foot length (with a seam in the middle)'

If the original is straight and the backer board is in decent shape, you will get the best results by having them recovered . You get to pick a color that better matches and you can use the original mounting hooks assuming that is how they were installed.

The back seat tops, are they also bolster type? If so, they can be made to match the side bolsters. That said, I am not sure of what the back seats look like.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes the back seat tops are also bolsters. I am going to check out how much it would cost to have them all reupholstered and then decide if I should go with two 36 inch or not. Thanks again.

I'm a little bit confused... are you wanting to replace the whole seat or just the bolsters and cushions on your seats? I think your best bet would be to have a local upholstery shop reupholster what you've currently got, though that's likely going to be the most expensive route as well. I think your cheapest route would be to find something available online that, while it might not be an exact fit, can be used instead. Finding some replacement Grady White specific bolsters for the gunwales and seats on a now 15 year old used boat is going to be very unlikely imo, unless you get extremely lucky. I know that there are a couple of guys on eBay as well as Craigslist that sell some GW specific things, though if they have your specific model is a different story. There's also M&M in Maryland that does have some parts and I've seen them sell some used/new cushions or other upholstery items before. They might be worth giving a call to and seeing what they recommend doing. Finally, a call to your local GW dealer also might be advantageous as the 228 Seafarer was produced up until about 2-3 years ago, so they might have something still available or another resource available for you. If you're wanting to replace the whole seat, you could call up Pompanette directly and see if they have any suggestions or what their availability is. Either way, good luck.

Take a look at affordable boat cushions in Florida. I bought new bolsters from them for my 228 and they are great.
