repower Gulfstream

I would like to repower my 2004 232 (currently has a Yamaha 225 with 1,700 hrs) with a low hour Yamaha 300. I am concerned about buying a used motor without seeing it run.

Does anyone know of a reputable used motor dealer or marketplace?

i would reach out to a local outfit and try to get a take off from someone re-powering with new. you might have to wait a bit, but you should be able to see/confirm that its running before it comes off the old boat
