A dealer told me the same thing. 350 is not going to be manufactured anymore. There is still stock out there but I wouldn't buy one.

Yeah, the Yami 350 is a POS. They need a complete redesign on that motor.

Could always convert to Mercury. Can't go wrong (from what I read) with Yamaha, Suzuki, or Mercury. I repowered my Seafarer with 300 Verado (L6 Model). I am tickled with it....quietest and smoothest engine I've experienced. Punch of supercharger is crazy.

The newer 300 V8s are very strong...but you could go 350 or 400 Verado L6 as well. 350 and 400 same essential engines. Keep us posted.

I know this sounds weird but I'd go with 300 Yamahas or 300 Mercs. I've got 2018 Yamaha 300s on my Marlin and it'll do 50mph, that being said the new V8 Mercs have so much mid range torque they feel (and perform) just as good, if not better, than the L6 350 Verados. You could also wait until they come out with a 350 V8 Merc, it's only a matter of time. I know there's a lot of Suzuki fans on here and overall they're just as good as the Mercs and Yamahas, but I work in the industry and their warranty isn't as good as it may seem and I've been hearing a lot of horror stories about denied coverage.

Everyone will have an opinion, but in the end it will depend on your dealership and their level of service. New Suzuki 300's are awesome. I can only imagine the 350's V6 duoprop would be beasts. here's a short video from boats.com

The zuke 350’s with duo props are sweet, but the motors want higher octane fuel to get 350 Which may not be available and will cost more in fuel should you do so.
zuke now does also have a DF300 with duo props, albiet motors are 65+# or so physically heavier than DF300 single prop version, not sure about what gas it likes.
not any expertise with Merc v8 300’s but they seem like they could be good fit for your marlin

Suzuki DF300B’s use contra rotating props and run on regular gas. I just went from DF300AP’s (single prop) to the 300B’s and the twin propeller motors are more efficient by .2-.3 mph so far and the boat is totally hooked up and does not lose propeller grip. It’s also faster at the same rpm by 2-3 mph at cruise due to less prop slip. WOT is the same at about 45mph.
I’d look at the Suzuki 350’s. I just went with 300’s because my 04 Marlin is rated at 600hp and I didn’t want to exceed that.

I agree with folks that twin 300s are plenty. Heck the 250s work for me.
