Hey guys, I need your help.

Do you think a pair of Yamaha f115hp will put my 1993 sailfish on plane?

I know this boat was designed for the 200hp two strokes.

I am getting a great deal on them!

My current set up is a single yammi f250hp with a 17pitch prop and I am getting 30mph.

Please can someone help me out?

My gut reaction? No, I think they couldn't safely push that boat in situations like a big following sea, when you might need power on tap to maintain position on the back of a wave coming in an inlet.

Minimum I'd guess would be Yamaha 150s or Suzuki 140s propped correctly but you would lose some top end and probably have similar fuel burn to newer 200 4-strokes. For perspective, my 208 (way smaller than your Sailfish) has a 250 and I'm really glad to have the power when loaded heavy and/or in rough water.
