I had Maxxum marine do the repower it was the best price and they had motors in stock with fast and professional service too!I have the same boat, if you dont mind my asking, what did that run out the door? Where are you located?
I see that Maxxum Marine is also a Suzuki dealer as well, did you consider ever going the Suzuki route and if so, was there any sort of price difference between the Suzuki and the Yamaha? I'm up in the Seattle area but have heard good things about Maxxum Marine, quite surprised though that they had everything in stock for you.I had Maxxum marine do the repower it was the best price and they had motors in stock with fast and professional service too!
Total was $28,500 for 250 & 9.9 with new controls/ 2 props/replace seastar rear hoses/new filter. This is for mechanical controlls and the kicker is power tilt/start
That's completely insane considering you can get a Suzuki DF250AP with digital controls for less than $20k. As much as I like the looks of the Yamaha, I simply couldn't justify spending almost $10k more for a similar motor with a shorter (3 year) warranty compared to the Suzuki (5 year).I recently sorted through the F250 variations.
2023 Gray, Offshore Series, 25” , retail list
XB - 26,100.
add digital control +~$2500
add digital control and steering +~$6000
I am interested to see pics of the minnkota. Going with spot lock? I have considered as a jig for Lakers and spot lock is a game changer. It's how I like to troll for salmon, especially in the rivers. I plan to order a minkota for the bow soon
She’s an awesome looking boat and built like a tank. Great to camp out on the water for a night too.I just brought her home today from getting new motors!! I am beyond happy and can't wait to get out in the Ocean to find some fish!!
