Current owner of a Freedom 335/dual 425s. Super happy with the boat overall and I do a lot of fishing. I'm having trouble finding a creative way to store 4 boat rods on the boat. These are conventional rods (6-6.5ft length with Penn Senator style reels). I only use them on the boat so hauling them on and off is not ideal.
I have been keeping them in the port cabin on the "couch" but wife gets mad that the cabin is unusable without removing all the rods. I don't want to store them in the outside rod holders or under the gunnels outside where the outriggers are stowed because its not good for the gear to bake in the sun and elements. I wish there was some kind of a pass through to stow them. I've considered mounting them under the hardtop but the surface is very uneven so that would be difficult to and probably a custom job.
I figured that I can't be the old one with this conundrum. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks so much!
