Roof air on a 330 Express

Had a Durasea AC 16000 btu unit installed yesterday for the cockpit, works great , took 8 hours .

Nice job, Does that unit drain condensation onto the roof or does it have some type of drain tubing to direct the condensation?

Great idea - but wondering what you did with the life jackets that were under the webbing under the hardtop- for me it would be a pain to keep hauling them out of the cabin as we use both berths quite a bit - is it practical to have a cutout created to still store them in helm area? Would you be willing to share the cost of the unit & installation.

Maybe contact A&J Canvas and see if they can make a two piece storage panel to give you some side storage for life jackets? They make the stock net.

I’m not sure, going to wait and see how it drains and how much condensation before I direct it .

I paid $1650 for the complete unit and a buddy of mine owns a Rv repair shop and had one of his guys put it in , it took 8 hrs , my canvas lady wants $100 to refit the life jacket storage . You can buy a rv AC for under $1000 but this one is made for marine use . So under $2500 complete, my AC guy that works on my 56’ said it would be a big job to retrofit one in the cockpit, I like this as I can run it on the lift.
