Here on the Northern Gulf Coast, April is usually the kickoff to the offshore boating season. Not this year, been doing this a long time and these winds are the worst I have ever seen. Hopefully May will be better.

I spent a month in Islamorada with a Bermuda high offshore. 20 knots plus East winds everyday. Great beach weather. Out front too rough to fish. We did well on the few NW days.
But it was better than sitting in NJ!
