That's not my understanding, 6' means 6' from trough to top. And while I could be off when I'm looking at the swells, I go out in 7@11When we talk 6-10’ are you saying from the lowest point to the highest point? My understanding is that 3’ swells go up 3’ AND down 3’ (so a total of 6’ up and down).
and there is no way those are 14 foot swells.
Perhaps someone confused you because on one side a 3' swell goes up 3' and on the other side it goes down 3' but the total height is 3' not 6'.
