Rub rail to protect pulpit?

Hey all

I've got a 2002 330 and the bottom edge of the pulpit is getting dinged up from the custom heavy duty (27 lbs) stainless grapnel anchor.

I was wondering if any of you had used a section of rub rail around the pulpit to protect the edges? I contacted Grady customer service and Danny said he thought it would be a good idea but hadn't heard of anyone doing it.

If anyone has a suggestion of the type of rub rail that would work, I would appreciate a response.

Reading my mind. I have the same boat and same year, and have the same problem. I have debated about sanding it down to a smooth edge again or researching a beige colored plastic molding edge. I am curious for any ideas.
