Okay, so earlier...this was what I was trying to do....when the workshop a/c stopped working and I was unable to bleed the brakes, so starting a thread.

First on my checklist before I go anywhere is to test everything. I have not even had power to the radar yet so, I am betting it will need to do an update or something.

Any recommendations for first startup, besides reading the manual? Looking to see if anyone knows any real world “gotchas”.

I plan, tomorrow, to download any and all updates for the electronics I will need and have them handy on the sd cards.

I assume the radar will either grab them automatically or via the chartplotter.

I have not hooked up the steadycast yet, gotta figure where to run it as it will not be there for a year. I hope to upgrade it next spring.

I got four fender guards, new rope for the docks.

Hrm, what else...

That will be a start

My Lowrance system automatically recognizes the sd card with the updatrs and starts the upload. if your does not I am sure there is a manual start on your menu that allows you to force it.

Booted the Garmin 7610xvs this morning. It came up fine. It detected the sirius Garmin antenna and the Garmin gps antenna. I ran out of time....shock...heh, but could not find how to detect the Garmin radar so will double check it all tomorrow, too much going on today to find time to look deeper.

I took screenshots of all of the devices so will go online and download all the updates and read all the instructions.

Was fun seeing it all work together.
