Has anyone ever experinced rusty looking wate leaking from where the bow rail meets the fiberglass? I have one spot that after a rain or wet ocean run bleeds brown water all down the side of the boat. Any thoughts on a solution?

Thanks!

Stainless will rust if wet and not in contact with air. Your rust is a sign that the area is wet, probably a bolt or screw hole. You need to remove the bolts and have a look to see if there a serious wet issue. At a minimum, cleab out the bolt holes and coat all bolts wiyh 4200 0r 5200 and reseat the fitting

Grady uses all 316 grade stainless, which has no magnetic properties and won't rust. But if a 304 grade screw got in the mix, that will do it. Check the hex-head set-screws in the fittings, and mounting screws, in the area of the rust stain. I'm wondering if something is inside the rail or stancion.

Stainless is not stainfree. You probably have to disassemble the problem rail and give it a good cleaning in and out.
Remove the stain with MaryKate On-Off (read the label) and then wax the area with a quality wax.
