Does anyone know the dimensions of the main gas tank on a 1999 Seafarer 226?

My fuel sender is not in a good place to remove easily on my boat. It is offset so much that I don't think I can pull the sender out. Funny thing is on my friend's 1993 Seafarer 226 the sender flange is directly over the inspection plate. Go figure!

Plan is to go idiot proof. There is a 1/2" NPT plug that is easily accessible and directly over the inspection plate. Remove plug, insert measuring stick then measure how many inches of fuel I have.

I am looking to make a chart so I can figure how many inches equals how many gallons. The tank is 15" deep so I need the width and length.

That is a link to your owners manual....if it doesn't work GOOGLE Grady white owners manuals....find your year and model and download it.

Your main tank is 92 gal.....aux is 56

If 15 inches = 92 gal.....then every inch of fuel in the tank is apx 6.13 gal

7.5 inches = 46 Gal.......10 inches = 61.3 gal....etc

You can also take up the rear deck plate and get full access to your main tank.....just be sure to caulk it well when you put it back.

Good luck!

Thank you very much!

I will pull it up to clean under there when I pull the forward deck plate up is a few weeks. I purchased two new tubes of GE2 Almond caulk to thoroughly re-caulk them.
The deck hatch that I ordered from Boat Outfitters shipped yesterday.
