Seafarer Switch Panel Dimensions

I have a 2000 226 and I am thinking of replacing or refurbishing the switch panel. Does anyone know the dimensions of the panel or have access to their boat to measure it. I am not where the boat is and would like to start to plan how I will get started. Thanks.

And I am going to change the Tach/Speedo panel to black starboard also.

Have you tried removing the screws in the tach/speedo panel? Mine are seized from corrosion. Only cure I can come up with is carefully drill the heads out and remove panel then get some PB Blaster in on the left over studs and remove them. I need the panel off in order to upgrade gauges to the Command Link gauges for my future repower.

I removed the panel already. I broke all the screw heads but one. I will deal with reattaching the panel when I go back to the boat. I brought the panel back home to use it as a pattern for the black starboard one. I am not sure how I will reattach the panel. I may try to use sheet metal screws but not in the same holes or use machine screws and locking nuts in the same holes. I will just have to see which will work best.

Also my gauges were very dim, which is a common problem, so I have sent them to Gauge Saver to be refurbished.

My gauges are fine but they are old school and dont talk to the fly by wire technology of the new control box and motor, also want to start fresh on hour meter with the new motor.

I made a new gauge panel out of 1/4” starboard. Pretty straight forward. I planned to do the switch panel too, but not so straight forward. For now, I’ll leave it as is.

I really like the looks of those panels. I called Grady a couple of days ago to see if those were available,but I didn't hear back from them. I'm not sure I could afford them if they were available.

After the holidays, reach out to www.newwiremarine.com, they should be able to hook you up with the panel with Carbon fiber pattern. Probably cheaper than going through Grady. I've not personally used them but from pics of their products, and remarks and reviews, they would be my first place to go to. Send them your old panel and they can cut to match. Depending on how my screw head removal goes, I might be having them do me a new panel also.

I had them make a panel for my Wellcraft V-21 and they did a great job. Very helpful and easy to work with. I am still considering several alternatives. On the Wellcraft I did the starboard dash panel and had them make the switch panel.

Unless you change out the Garmin panel to the CF look, I'd almost carry the black starboard over to the switch panel and speed/tach panel. Keep it all matching, keeps the look cleaner.

John, Thanks for the input. I will do the Tach/ Speedo panel and then later get to the switch panel. Either way I think it will freshen things up.
