Had seakeeper 1 installed last summer freedom 275 2020. worked last summer and made waves much less impactful. took it out of storage and fired it up but brake hydraulic flood failure / alarm. Will need repaired at least (maybe replaced since the hydraulic fluid is integral to the unit and pressure is set at the factory).

I guess the more things you add to your boat the more things that can go wrong. Seakeeper is a BIG one in terms of price and labor.

Thats a real bummer. was there some serious deck work to get that thing below deck that has to be undone with a saw or is it just screws and bolts?

it IS under warranty so that's a relief. still to go bad within a couple of months is not good. the SK was installed aft under the deck after reinforcing the stringers. batteries had to be moved forward and lots of rewiring. it weighs about 400 lbs but didn't seem to cause a problem with stability or how it sat in the water.

Thats equal to only a little over 60 gallons of gas. It's not as heavy as I thought it would be.

The Seakeeper requires annual maintenance. It it smart enough to know that service is overdue? I don't know. I do know that the annual service is expensive.
