I am looking for a Grady Drive (Springfield) single outboard bracket. Mine is very corroded and would like to replace it with the same model. I just don't want to drill new holes in the transom. My boat is a 1988 228G Seafarer. If you have one or know of a good lead let me know. Thanks and safe boating!

In my opinion the cast aluminum bracket made by Sprinfield was one of the worst products GW used on their boats.

GW was very helpful, cost wise, to me over the 26 yrs I've owned my boat concerning the bracket. After 3 Springfield brackets and countless attempts to correct this flawed product I finally had a local metal fabricator make a bracket 4yrs ago and at a much lower cost. The bolt hole pattern was copied and fit near perfect with little adjustment.

Just another option. Good luck.

How long did GW use Springfield brackets? I had a 96 Gulfstream with a bracket that corroded, but don't know it's manufacturer.

Springfield brackets were used up until the '92 model year. After that, they were supplied by Gil.
