As a newbie I am a bit confused. Two things,

1. at the bottom of the companionway on the 330 just forward.of the aft berth is a sump type well with a drain and a crosshatch teak type mat. What is it and what's it purpose?

2. Directly behind it under the cover in the aft birth is the removable compartment
It contains the seacocks for the head storage waste overboard pumpout, the saltwater washdown and the livewell seacock as well as the forward bilge pump and the high water bilge pump. Is this the shower sump and the area where the AC drains to? If not, where the heck is the shower sump I keep reading about?

Stumped

I’m not familiar with your exact boat, but typically that is what a shower sump looks like. They are a pain and need constant upkeep. The plastic cracks, they get clogged and pumps burn out and they really never drain 100%

The area with the teak and drain?

I'll shower on deck and let the neighbors get a tickle!

The area with the teak crosshatch is just a step down area with a drain. The shower sump is under the hatch with the bilge pumps, but forward under the step edge and a bit hard to see. Look back toward the bow. It has a float switch and is contained in a small plastic box. Mine has been fine since new. I test it occasionally, but if it fails the condensate and shower drain will simply overflow into the bilge.
