Side window flew out, help needed 282 sailfish

So, my son went to close the side window and pushed it out a little while we were doing 30min and the bracket broke and window flew out to the Atlantic Ocean.

I am in south jersey if anyone has a recommended place to fix, or a place to call that can help me out

You may be able to get the aluminum hinge material from Marine Specialty Glass in FL. The glass is a bigger problem. The shops don’t like drilling the hole in “school bus glass”. Lee an is ok. I had several tempered glass replacements made a few years ago.

Marine glass specialty did a replacement on for my 265. Also call around to local dealers, you may get lucky.

Most glass dealers have a supplier that they can send a template to replicate the glass you lost. I replace mine 2 years ago. I just took the opposite window to the glass shop. they made a template and I had an exact replica 5 days later.

The missing hinge is going to be the hard part

How did you take the hinge out?

if you remove the handle thingy, the window can tilt out farther and will fall right out. The glass is glued to half of the hinge

Never touched the hinge - once you unscrew the window pull handle the glass will just come out or the hinge.. Hinge stays in place
