I needed to pull up one of my deck panels to replace my live well pump. Once replaced I need to replace the silicone around the floor panel. Any recommendations on a quality product? I know it’s only caulking 101 but any tips would be appreciated too.

I have my hatches up now for fuel tank replacement. They will go back down with the better grade GE white silicone mildew resistant preferably UV stable. This is a little bright for my 25 year old "Faded Grady White" but a better match than the almond. Tape out the edges first then apply caulk.

As DennisG01 said it's well covered here on GG.

if you have any extra wide seams between deck plates (I have one), I’ve had success using a length of foam door jam insulation to fill the gap so the silicone doesn’t fall through. I’ve used the GE silicone in almond color. Perfect match on my deck. It’s sometimes hard to find the almond color in the stores, but you can order it online. Use blue painter’s tape for a nice professional seam.
