Does anyone know of a shop that will rebuild an auto pilot pump?
I have a Simrad APU 160 that crapped out, and a new one is over 1000 bucks!
Thanks!

I think the $1k number is for the whole unit, should be able to buy a pump only for a few hundred less and a much easier install.

Most can pretty easily be rebuilt as long as the case is not corroded. Just Google "hydraulic pump repair near me". New ones are not that expensive though. Octopus pumps are well regarded and the one you need (matched to your ram displacement) is under $500.

Thanks, I think I found a local shop.
I had spoken to 2 marine electronics guys about octopus pump vs. a rpu 160, and got conflicting info.
Hopefully I can get this one fixed!!
