The linear feedback unit broke Looking for a replacement lf3000 This is for an older Simrad AP22.

I’ve also posted on THT but wanted to cast a wider net.
New they are 500 and I don’t want to dump that kind of money on a 20 year old auto pilot.

Could also be interested in a simrad ap16 or newer auto pilot with virtual rudder feedback.

Dumb question probably, but one from a similar vintage Raytheon unit wouldn't work right?

Great question. No idea. I know the one Sea Star makes will work.

I removed the autopilot on my project boat, but the rudder sensor is still installed. I'll check and see what model it is.

I would bite the bullet and replace the entire system with one that requires no rudder feedback. I just changed the course computer on my Raymarine by adding a newer course computer and did away with the rudder feedback device and will never go back. It works much better and holds a course better and marginally inexpensive since I found a used course computer that was compatible with the other already installed components.

100% agree. However just repowered so boating funds for non emergency items are minimal, hence the idea of the band aid.
