Slippery deck fix to ensure dads safety

Looking for thoughts. Have 2000 GW 232 and the rear deck has become very slippery. I have had three years and never applied wax or cleaner with wax to floor and concerned my 83 year old dad is going to slip grabbing a rod. The non-slip flooring still has the diamond groves so not sure why slippery. Special cleaner, paint with new sand grip or cover with new flooring. Concerned with blood stains as we do catch fair amount of fish. Console area is not slippery. Perplexed as to next steps.

I bought deckadence and installed that myself. It has a sticky back so it doesn't slide around and it's cushy on your feet. You can see my boat here: https://marineflooring.net/gallery/ - it's the 7th boat counting left to right. I *love* this stuff. My install is 2 piece, if you look closely there is a seam in the walkway to the helm. So there is a T shaped piece for the helm and the walkway and then a big square-ish piece for the cock pit. Both small and light enough that I take them out of the boat to wash them after each trip. Fish guts and what not have flushed right out for me. Can't say enough good things about this.

I have a scrap that I could mail you so you could see how well it worked on your deck.

Looks nice. We use the Washdown after nearly every fish and not sure carrying one more thing back and forth will work for us. Going to check with my sons on their thoughts. My first thought is we go out on a whim and the flooring might be at home while we are on the road. Doesn’t help my dad concern (and mine as I am getting older).
