Small tower on 257

Not to be Debbie downer but this feels like you’re going overboard, no offense, is it really necessary for this sized boat?

For the fishing we do yes. A small tower with a steering station on top of a T Top Is a game changer. Not talking about something huge .

In FL (where I was on vacation - I'm in MA) I saw a bunch fo 20-25 ft boats with what I can only call a 1/4 tower -- Basically you could climb up through a hole int he hard top and sit a bit higher than the top with a set of controls up there. It was a pretty cool setup and didn't add much extra weight....
