Hi everyone,
Coming into the end of the season I had a couple things go on my 180. Tach/Speedometer digital gauges have started to become unreadable. I have a 2001 Saltwater Series II engine. Doing some reading I found which parts I need to fix this and think I can do it come spring. Has anyone done this replacement themselves? From talking to some people they say it is almost plug and play...which is good because I am no mechanic by any means
I also had my trim/tilt switch on the throttle crap out on me....when I use the engine trim/tilt, it works fine. Also doing some reading and research, I found the part I need for that as well. This one looks a little more complex...not sure if i have to take the whole throttle body lever apart or can I just take the casing off and pull it out of the throttle arm??
Final thing....I found a little soft spot on top of the deck near one of the cleats. I think the anchor might have hit it over the summer while out doing boat things. What is the best way to fix that and patch it up? The spot is just surface and no larger than your thumbnail but dont want it to stay untouched and get bigger and bigger over the years!
Thanks for your help!
Ian
